The bomb threat announced at the Chisinau City Appeals Court in the morning of April 25 turned out to be a hoax. After over three hours of searches, the competent services found no suspicious device in the building.
Chisinau Police Division press officer Natalia Stati has told IPN that the police are taking measures to identity the bomb hoax author. The Court’s employees resumed work.
Under the Penal Code, the authors of a bomb hoax face a fine of 27,500 to 42,500 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or at most two years behind bars.
