Bomb in shopping center

Firefighters and police officers with trained dogs are checking the basement and stories of the shopping center Jumbo situated on Decebal St in Chisinau. Several hours ago, a young man announced that a bomb had been planted in the center’s building, the head of the General Police Commissariat’s press office Adrian Jovmir has told Info-Prim Neo. According to Adrian Jovmir, at about 14.00 the police were informed that there was a bomb in the shopping center. The officer on guard mobilized all the operative squads. They were on the scene immediately. The firefighters and an ambulance were also called. The employees and visitors were evacuated. Movement through the area is restricted. Adrian Jovmir does not rule out that the author of the bomb threat is a minor. Eight cases of false bomb scare have been recorded so far this year. All the persons who made the phone calls were identified. They included a minor. Legal action was taken against six of them, while the parents of the minor were fined 400 lei.
