Bomb hoaxes were reported at the Chisinau City Hall and the Central Market on Wednesday morning. The police station of the Centru Police Inspectorate was informed that explosive devices had been planted at the two locations. The expert services carried out examinations but didn’t find anything suspect, press officer of the General Police Inspectorate Svetlana Scripnic has told IPN.
The police cordoned off the area and the persons were evacuated. Bomb squads examined the scenes.
Intentional misleading about an act of terrorism is punished with a fine of at most 42,500 lei or 180 to 240 hours of community service or a maximum jail term of two years. In the case of children, the fine is imposed on parents.
