Body of boy found in pond

Frogmen took the body of a 14-year-old boy out of a pond in Cioropcani, Ungheni. The boy went swimming earlier this week, but the family alerted the rescuers the third day after his disappearance. Liliana Puscasu, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the boy was seen swimming by villagers on Monday. He did not return home. The parents informed about the boy’s absence on Wednesday. This is the first case of drowning so far this year. The rescuers warn against diving in unknown places and against swimming in deep water. Six persons drowned in ponds all over the country last summer.
