The graduates of boarding schools and other institutions will be able to find out more about the profession they want and the employment possibilities on the website www.planificarecarierei.md that was launched by the Center of Social Services for Child and Family on November 15, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Center’s executive director Viorica Matas told a news conference that the site was initially conceived for young people from boarding schools as this category of students lack information about the employment possibilities. The boarding school graduates often choose a profession about which they were told, not that they really want. Afterward, the project was extended to all the young people who are going to choose a profession. An electronic platform is to be purchased within the project, based on which the young people will fill out a questionnaire. A psychologist will verify the data, while a specialist will determine the professional profile of the respondent. Psychologist Mariana Boaghe said that the website contains useful information for young people, including data about education institutions and human rights specialists to whom they can appeal after graduation. “The young people choose the professions that are in vogue instead of professions that are in demand on the labor market. The project will enable them to do some tests and to see the compatibility with a profession or another,” she stated. Constantin Turcanu, consultant of the Youth Programs Division of the Ministry of Youth and Sport, said that this project is supported by the Ministry through the agency of a grants program that is a form of development and support of the nongovernmental youth sector. “We are glad that this project started successfully and that its objectives are being achieved. We consider that not only the state institutions, but also the private ones will support it,” he said. The project is implemented with the support of the National Employment Agency.
