A large truck loaded with fuel skidded off the road into a ditch 25 km from Chisinau, in the direction of Balti, in the evening of March 23. The Ministry of Defense said the bomb squad of the “Codru” Battalion of the National Army intervened to tow away a truck, IPN reports.
The same evening, an accident that involved two minibuses and two cars occurred 5km from Stefan Voda town, in the direction of Tudora. Four persons, among whom a child, were injured. Soldiers of the Anti-Aircraft Battalion No. 4 intervened to extricate and transport those injured to the hospital in Stefan Voda.
According to the Ministry of Defense, National Army soldiers by midnight unblocked over 30 large trucks and more than 30 persons who got stuck on the Balti-Tiganca, Condrita-Leuseni and Chisinau-Cricova roads and the national road M14.
Another accident occurred between Ialoveni and Costesti, where a minibus traveling on the Chisinau-Molesti road skidded off the road. As a result, four persons, among whom two children, were taken to the hospital.
