The co-president of the Bloc ACUM Maia Sandu, president of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS), said the bloc is ready to sign a public commitment to promise that after the laws of the anti-oligarchic package are adopted, it will take a step backward and will dismiss the Speaker of Parliament, if this package is voted by the Socialists. The subject was discussed in the program “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

The PAS leader noted the problem derives from the fact that the Socialists do not have courage to wage a war on the oligarchic regime because this is risky, especially for those who feel more vulnerable before the regime. “The fear is probably great,” said the politician.

Maia Sandu stated the Socialists are those who should take the first step to confirm their readiness and political will to adopt laws that would free the state institutions from captivity. “That’s why the Parliament Speaker should be a representative of the bloc while the laws will be adopted,” she noted.

The politician also said the Bloc ACUM is the only one that proposed a solution to the situation that appeared after the elections. “We noted that besides being ready to assume the disaster left by the current government, we are those who are the most credible when it is about the restoration of the relations with the foreign partners, especially the obtaining of financial resources,” stated Maia Sandu.

According to her, neither the PSRM, nor the PDM proposed a solution. The Democrats keep silent, while the Socialists asked for something else in the public sphere, but not for the leadership of the government actually. “When the people seem to have decided to go towards snap elections, I don’t understand why they don’t come to vote two-three laws that would make the snap elections much fairer. If snap elections are not wanted, we offer the solution of a minority government,” stated the politician.

Representatives of the Bloc ACUM proposed convoking a special session of Parliament for May 21. Only the ACUM MPs came to the sitting and the Bloc’s leaders said the Party of Socialists, the Democratic Party and the Shor Party should publicly assume responsibility for paralyzing the Parliament’s work.
