According to Romanian authorities, the majority of bird flu foci, 27, were confirmed in Brasov district, followed by Prahova, with 15 foci. Also in Predeal, Campina and Filipestii de Tirg the analysis showed the presence of bird flu. The virus H5N1 was found out in Vrancea, Valcea, Sibiu, in Mures district and in Sighsoara. Other two foci were identified in Bucuresti. At the same time, 10 foci were confirmed in Bacau district, two in Buzau, one in Neamt, at a distance of 100 km from the border of the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, the specialized Moldovan services continue to declare that on the territory of the Republic of Moldova not a single case of bird flu was registered. Under these new critical conditions, in order to correctly and promptly inform about the risks and the measures to be taken for an eventual appearance of the H5N1 virus on the territory of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo officially solicited from several public specialized institutions additional information considered to be of major public concern and national-security-related. The answers of these bodies are to be made public in the future.
