The Parliament’s commission on economy, budget and finance Wednesday decided to merge the bills on the common tax in agriculture presented by the Government and the Democratic Party (PDM), Info-Prim Neo reports.
The PDM earlier accused the Government of plagiarizing them when drafting the given bill. In the commission’s meeting, MP Adrian Candu, one of the authors of the bills proposed by the Democrats, said that the PDM’s proposals are more detailed, while the members of executive omitted a number of important aspects.
The legislative amendments are aimed at bringing more money into the budget and at improving the administration and collection of taxes. Adrian Candu said that the fiscal inspection will be unnecessary as the farmers will declare the land they own and taxes will be calculated to them. They will not need to submit tax returns.
The VAT, the social and health insurance taxes and the road tax are not included in the common tax in agriculture.
The commission on economy, budget and finance approved the two bills for being debated in Parliament in the first reading and decided to merge them for the second reading.
