The MPs adopted in the final reading the bill on IT parks. The initiative is aimed at ensuring the preconditions needed to stimulate the development of the information technology industry oriented to export by creating jobs and attracting investments, IPN reports.
The IT parks will be created by Government decisions on the initiative of private individuals and legal entities registered in Moldova, based on a motivated letter and a feasibility study in this regards. Among the benefits that will be enjoyed by the residents of IT parks are the common tax of 7% of the sales and exemption from customs duties and VAT on the import of monitors, computers, network equipment, component parts and accessories needed by residents companies to carry out their activities.
The bill is part of the strategy for increasing competitiveness of the IT industry for 2015-2021.
