Bilateral agreements between Moldova and Romania signed in Bucharest

The Republic of Moldova and Romania, in the common meetings of the Governments held in Bucharest on November 22, signed a series of bilateral agreements in such areas as tourism, education and healthcare. There was also signed a common statement on the abolition of roaming charges between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

A cooperation protocol was signed by the Ministry of Culture and National Identity of Romania and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of Moldova.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of consular assistance and protection for persons with dual nationality.

The Ministry for Romanians Everywhere of Romania signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bureau for Diaspora Relations of the State Chancellery of Moldova.

A memorandum on the promotion of entrepreneurship and economic and corporative cooperation was signed by the Ministry for the Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. The sides also signed a memorandum on the promotion of cooperation in business on third markets.

The Ministry of National Defense of Romania and the  Ministry of Defense of Moldova signed a declaration of intent on the creation of a framework for intensified training with a view to founding a joint unit between the Army of Romania and the National Army of the Republic of Moldova.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of Moldova and the Ministry of Health of Romania signed a plan of action in healthcare and medical sciences for 2019-2020.

The Ministries of the Interior of the two states signed a protocol on the constitution and activity of join teams for patrolling the common state border.

In Bucharest, there was also signed the contract for financing the development of the national transport system in northeastern Romania in order to improve natural gas supply in the area and to ensure the transportation of gas to Moldova.

Another protocol envisions interinstitutional cooperation between the Agency for Rural Investment Financing of Romania and the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture of Moldova.
