A bicyclist aged 27 was hit fatally by a vehicle on the Hâncești-Leușeni road. The accident was reported to the 112 Service at 5:40am this morning, Cristina Vicol, press officer of the Hâncești Police Inspectorate, has told IPN.
The police established that the 33-year-old driver struck with his car the bicyclist who was coming from the opposite direction, moving illegally. As a result of the impact, the bicyclist died on the spot.
The breath test showed the driver wasn’t inebriated. An investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
