Best Tiraspol students to get stipends

From 2013, the 31 best students of the Tiraspol University will get monthly stipends of $45 from a commercial bank, Novi Region news agency reported. The representative of the commercial bank Elena Cojocari said that both students on free tuition places and those on contract places can obtain the stipends. The winners will be announced at the end of semester. An important criterion will be the students’ participation in scientific activity. Students who wrote or edited scientific papers will have priority. “The average grades are not essential. It’s important that the students had solid knowledge in a certain field”, said Elena Cojocari. The stipend will be offered to mark the 1150th anniversary of Slavic writing and culture.
