Best rugby players of 2009 named

The Moldovan Rugby Federation summed up the results of the year. Vadim Cobalas, a player of Moldova's national team and of the Russian club VVA Monino, was named the Rugby Player of the Year 2009, Info-Prim Neo reports. Veaceslav Titica and Andrei Romanov were ranked second and third. Sergiu Motoc was named the Coach of the Year as his youth team went through to the final of the European Rugby Championship held in Chisinau. Oxana Bunici, of the team USEFS-Blumarin, became the Female Player of the Year. Gheorghe Voloshchuk was named the Best Rugby Player in Moldova's Championship. Victor Arhip and Alexandru Matveev became the Best Young Rugby Players.
