About 300 economic entities presented their products and services at the 15th exhibition “Made in Moldova” that was opened at the Chisinau-based Exhibitions Center “Moldexpo” on February 3. The residents and guests of the capital city will be able to visit the exhibit and purchase products by February 7 inclusive, IPN reports.

Attending the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pavel Filip welcomed the large number of companies present at the exhibitions, saying the improvement of the conditions for doing business in Moldova is among the new Government’s priorities. He spoke about the institution of a six-month moratorium on inspections carried out at economic entities, noting that a bill to this effect is to be approved in the February 3 meeting of the Cabinet.

Chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry Valeriu Lazar reiterated that the main objective of the exhibition is to stimulate the competitiveness of companies so that the Moldovan products and services meet the requirements of the national and foreign consumers. The opportunities offered by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, which forms part of the Association Agreement, will be taken into account.

The exhibit’s additional program includes seminars, roundtable meeting and presentations on new products and services organized by ministries and private organizations. A business forum involving representatives of Romanian companies will be held on the first day of the event, alongside a Jobs Fair where 30 economic entities will offer about 500 jobs for different social categories. The fair will continue until February 7.

Similar business forums will be staged on February 4 and 5. These will be attended by businessmen from Belarus and Ukraine. The organizers are confident that these events will help diversify the cooperation relations between economic entities and establish new partnerships.
