The financial assistance provided in Moldova to beneficiaries of international social protection this year will be 922 lei, which is 15% of the forecast average official salary, IPN reports, with reference to a Government decision.
The assistance is provided for a period of six months and is non-reimbursable. The applications filed by foreigners to the competent authority are examined individually, taking into account the real financial situation of the applicant.
About 30% of all the applications submitted during the last few years have been accepted. The benefit is paid monthly.
In 2017, there were submitted only seven applications for such assistance and two of these were accepted.
