Beneficiaries may, starting October 8, collect the allowances for temporary incapacity for work. In order to withdraw the money, the beneficiaries will have to turn to banking institutions where salary or social accounts were opened. If the beneficiary is not a card holder, the allowance can be received at any post office, regardless of domicile.
In order to ensure the payments, the National Social Insurance House announced that it made available 39.8 million lei for about 19700 beneficiaries of temporary incapacity for work allowances, in sick leave in October 2019, as well as for over 7600 beneficiaries who did not receive the allowances for the previous months.
Payments of the temporary incapacity for work allowances will be made by: FinComBank, Energbank, EuroCreditBank, Eximbank, Moldova-Agroindbank, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank, Comerţbank, Mobiasbancă and SOE "Poșta Moldovei".
The allowance for the first five days of medical leave in case of common illnesses or accidents not related to work is calculated and paid for by the employer, yet not longer than 15 cumulative days during a calendar year. Starting with the sixth day of temporary incapacity for work, the establishment, calculation and payment of allowances is carried out by CNAS from state social insurance budget account funds.
