The Bender Appeals Court will be liquidated and its powers will be transferred to the Chisinau Appeals Court. A bill to this effect was approved by the Government on June 4, IPN reports.
Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim said the Bender Appeals Court has the smallest workload compared with the other national courts of the same level. The number of cases examined by it is 10 times lower than at the Chisinau Appeals Court.
The bill was earlier endorsed by the Supreme Council of Magistrates and will be submitted to Parliament for adoption.
