Since the withdrawal of their licenses in October 2015 until September 30, 2022, Banca de Economii, Banca Socială and Unibank collected 2 810 843 lei. The National Bank of Moldova said the liquidators continue taking measures to sell assets, IPN reports.

Both the money available in the accounts of the three banks on the license withdrawal day and the money collected later is used to cover costs related to the liquidation process and to pay the emergency loans. During November 2014 – October 2015, the National Bank offered emergency loans based on state guarantees totaling 14 121 758 lei to Banca de Economii SA, Bănca Sociale and Unibank.

After the three banks were stripped of licenses, the liquidators paid a part of the debs related to the emergency loans to the National Bank of Moldova (by October 3, 2016 inclusive) and the Ministry of Finance (starting with October 4, 2016). They continue working with debtors so as to repay the loans raised from these banks and the emergency loans provided by the central bank.
