Belgium could participate in issuing visas within Chisinau Joint Centre

Belgium is willing to examine the proposal to join the Chisinau Joint Application Centre and appreciates the significance of the signing procedure of the Agreement for the facilitation of the visa regime and of the readmission agreement between Moldova and the European Union, Robert Devriese, Director-General of Bilateral Affairs Department of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. During a meeting in Chisinau, the Moldovan deputy-minister of Foreign Affairs, Valeriu Ostalep asked the support of the Belgian authorities in what concerns the facilitation of the free movement on the European continent. In the same connection, the official from Chisinau brought several arguments for the creation of a proper framework for the Moldovan citizens on the consultation service of the Embassies accredited in Moldova. The Chisinau Joint Application Centre, which was inaugurated on April 25, issues visas for Austria, Denmark, Latvia and Slovenia, Recently, Cyprus has also said it is willing to examine the request on issuing travel visas for this country via the Joint Centre.
