Belarus will donate a mobile radiography system to Moldova. This will arrive in Chisinau by the end of November, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergey Rumas informed his Moldovan counterpart Pavel Filip about this in a meeting, IPN has learned from the Moldovan Government’s press service.
Pavel Filip, who is on a visit to Belarus, noted that the Moldovan-Belarusian relations are characterized by friendship and concrete projects based on mutual trust and respect. “I arrived in Minsk by the direct Chisinau-Minsk flight. We assemble Belarusian trolleybuses in Chisinau and use portable Belarusian mammography and radiography systems that were delivered earlier for the benefit of the people. These are all concrete results of the bilateral cooperation,” stated the Premier.
In the meeting, the sides agreed to continue assembling trolleybuses in Chisinau so that all the 100 old trolleybuses that remained could be replaces during the next two years. The Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus offered to finance this project. At the same time, Moldova is interested in producing electric buses in concert with the Belarusian side.
The pharmaceutical sector is another area of mutual interest. A series of high-quality Belarusian medicines are registered in Moldova. They are sold at reasonable prices. Moldova is interested in learning from Belarus’ experience in managing the animal breeding sector. The sides are considering the possibility of building in Moldova a modem livestock complex, with the site being already identified.
In the meeting, the officials signed an agreement on cooperation in education between the Government of Moldova and the Government of Belarus. This envisions the provision of scholarships for Moldovan students and cooperation in primary, university and research education.
