The Party of Socialists insists on returning to bills on pension indexation that were previously proposed by the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS). At a news conference, MP Alla Darovannaya said that those bills would support pensioners, IPN reports.

In one of the legislative initiatives, BCS proposes that pensions should be indexed every three months, and the indexation coefficient should be the average of the increase in consumer price indices in the last three months.

"This bill  aims to ensure fair indexation to compensate for real inflation," said Alla Darovannaya.

Another draft law suggests providing financial support to pensioners whose pensions are below the minimum standard of living.

The third draft law, which the BCS insists on, envisions the indexation of pensions to compensate for the losses caused by the increase in cumulative costs.

"We propose modifying the formula for calculating the indexation coefficient that will be determined as the average of the annual increase in consumer price indices for the last three years," said the Socialist MP.
