BCC applies fines for violations

The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) fined the TV station NIT and the radio station “Autoradio” on Tuesday, May 15 for violations of the Audiovisual Code. The NIT station was imosed a fine worth MDL 2 thousand (minimum sanction stipulated by the Code) for broadcasting surreptitious advertisement during the show “Made in Moldova”. BCC has also found previously such violations in the case of NIT. A fine of MDL 2 thousand was imposed on “Autoradio” station for violating several provisions of the Code. The radio station was publicly warned previously for using an inappropriate jingle. At the same time, BCC has publicly warned today the radio stations “Kiss FM” and “Polidisc-Russkoe Radio” for several violations. Till now, BCC applied fines in the case of “Antena C”, after its privatisation and to the cable TV operator “Sun Communications”.
