The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) has announced a contest to distribute the available radio frequencies 883 MHz, 100.2 MHz and 105.0 MHz, IPN reports.

According to the BCC, the period of validity of the licenses for using two of these frequencies expired. The license owned by Bas FM of Basarabeasca wasn’t extended because the broadcaster didn’t ask for its renewal, while the other broadcaster submitted an application for renewal with delay.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology requested the BCC to stage a contest to distribute the frequency 88.3 MHz, which has coverage in Panasesti village of Straseni district.
