“Basarabia Days” Festival to take place in Romanian universities

The 7th edition of the “Basarabia Days” Festival, organised by Moldovan students in Timisoara will be held in three university centres in the period from March 30 to April 1.
“Basarabia Days” Festival is a project of the Organisation of Students of Moldova, launched in 2001, on the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of Basarabia’s unification with Romania.
According to the sources from the organisation, usually, the Festival includes cultural and civic activities, art exhibitions, book presentations, open air concerts, video presentations, meetings with representatives of youth organisations from university centres from other cities in Romania, establishment of collaboration relations and strategies related to them as well as debates related to the situation of Moldova and the democratic course it has to follow.
For 7 years, “Basarabia Days” Festival has been promoting the cultural values of the Romanian nation on both banks of the Prut River. The event brings together representatives of culture, specialised organisations from Romania and Moldova as well as decision makers from governmental and administrative institutions.
