The Commission for Exceptional Situations lifted the restriction on walks in public places, such as parks, forests, alleys, playgrounds and recreational areas, but banned the presence of groups larger than three persons in such places, except for family members, acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi informed after the Commission’s meeting.

IPN quoted him as saying that the Commission also abrogated a chapter of annex No. 1 to the previous decision as this generated ambiguousness as regards the presentation of the negative test for COVID-19 when entering the country. This way, decision No. 51 of the National Public Health Commission, which provides that if the person does not have the negative result of the COVID-19 test, this fills out an epidemiological form and undertakes to self-isolate for 14 days, remained in force. The decision also says that if the test done on the tenth day is negative, the quarantine can be interrupted. The drivers in transit, the representatives of the diplomatic service and other categories are an exception.

In another development, Aureliu Ciocoi said the Commission for Exceptional Situations allowed resuming training sessions for athletes and members of national squads for taking part in international competitions, by mandatorily obeying all the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It also permitted the national sports federations accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research to stage open-air competitions without spectators, by obeying the public protection measures and the instructions approved by the Ministry.

Also, the students of vocational education institutions who need to complete internships can do it.
