The verses and musical notes of 34 ballads that went through to the final of the first Ballads Festival that was held in Moldova were included in the book “At the ballads’ home” that will be presented on July 10. The book will also have a CD.
Contacted by IPN, Radio Moldova director Alexandru Dorogan, who is the president of the festival, said the book is a precious collection for the people of culture. The second festival will be held on October 22-25.
The cultural event was initiated by Radio Moldova in 2012, on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the station’s foundation that is marked on October 30. The festival is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, the National Center for the Conservation and Promotion of the Immaterial Cultural Patrimony, the National Commission for UNESCO, and the Union of Musicians of Moldova.
