The national Baccalaureate exams this year will be sat during June 4-22. Of the 16,773 registered candidates, 11,094 are from lyceums. The grade of “10” in the foreign language exam will be automatically given to 1,298 students, who will not have to take the exam, IPN reports.
The candidates will sit the exams in Baccalaureate centers under video surveillance. The number of centers was raised from 88 a year before to 93. The exams will be held by strictly obeying the anti-epidemic measures, Minister of Education, Culture and Research Lilia Pogolșa stated in a press briefing.
Over 300 candidates in the municipality of Chisinau will sit the exams at two Baccalaureate centers. The test papers and challenges will be dealt with at national assessment centers and challenge examination centers that will be higher in number this year.
The grading process will involve about 600 teachers who will be assigned to work at assessment centers by 125 to 150.
If the number of cases of COVID-19 increases in the period between June 4 and 22, the exams will be delayed for up to 20 days.
Lilia Pogolșa called on the candidates to get ready for the exams and assured that objectivity, correctness and transparency in exams will be ensured.
