The exams of the main Baccalaureate session 2017 were passed by 58% of the candidates. The number of candidates with the average grade higher or equal to 8 is of 1,467, as opposed to 1,316 in 2016. As many as 264 candidates have a grade higher or equal to 9, as against 178 in 2016. The information about the number of students who got only grades of 10 is being processed and will be made public later, IPN has learned from the Communication and Public Relations Service of the Ministry of Education.

The number of graduates who were caught cheating and were thus sent off from the examination hall decreased to 8 from 51 in 2016.

The Baccalaureate session 2017 involved slightly over 10,000 candidates from lyceums, more than 4,000 candidates from colleagues and over 100 candidates from universities. Over 18% of those who failed the exams the previous sessions passed the exams this session.

Those who do not agree with the grade can file challenges at Baccalaureate centers on June 27, between 9am and 6pm. The final results, after the examination of challenges, will be published on July 6.

The additional Baccalaureate session will be held during July 17-24, 2017. To take part in the additional session, the candidates should file a written application to the Baccalaureate centers where they sat the exams during the main session on July 6 and 7.
