The Baccalaureate exams go on. This week, the students will take the foreign language and mathematics exams. The exam in the language of teaching was marked by small technical incidents. In Chisinau, the exams took place in all the Baccalaureate centers, the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said at the Chisinau City Hall’s meeting on Monday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of Education and Youth, the students of the Teacher Training College and of the Polytechnic College in Chisinau could not take the exams owing to technical glitches. They will take the exams later.
The tests in a number of Baccalaureate centers couldn’t be downloaded in due time as the website was accessed a lot of times simultaneously. Some of the computers went out of order, including because the passwords entered were incorrect. Every Baccalaureate center has a password that is changed after each exam. Only the chairperson of the examination commission knows the password.
“After the technical faults were removed, the students worked normally without disciplinary incidents. There were identified no cases of corruption. The parents filed no complaints. However, the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport supervises the situation and is ready to intervene at any moment,” Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb informed the mayor general. Dorin Chirtoaca asked that the Division’s employees discuss personally with the students and their parents in order to discover cases of bribery.
A number of 400 Baccalaureate centers were set up all over the country.
The ninth graders take the Romanian and geography exams this week.
