Baccalaureate exam passing level will be increased

The lowest level for passing the Baccalaureate exams will be raised. For a positive grade, the candidates will have to provide correct answers to minimum 30% of the test items, as opposed to 25% at present. For the first time, the students will be able to access an online tests base for preparing for exams, IPN reports.

Minister of Education Maia Sandu told a news conference that the remuneration for teachers-assessors in the future Baccalaureate session will be higher, but they will be selected much more rigorously. The video monitoring will be preserved, as the practice of televised lectures on the main subjects.

“Cheating will not be tolerated. We delivered this message earlier and will continue to insist on it. Only this way, will we be able to appreciate the young people who study hard and will see the real results of our work,” said Maia Sandu.

The conditions of holding the Baccalaureate exams during the next session will be made public in education institutions at the start of the academic year.
