After the challenges filed by candidates who were dissatisfied with the grades they got in the Baccalaureate exams were examined, the exam pass rate rose by 1.27% to 55.41%. The grades were modified in the case of 15.76% of the challenges. In most of the cases, the grade was raised by one point, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Education said no grade was raised by three points or more.

The number of candidates who took only grades of ‘10’ in the Baccalaureate exams remained unchanged after the examination of challenges. Only three persons achieved such a result. As many as 182 candidates have an average grade of ‘9’ and more, over 1,000 students – of ‘8’ and more, while over 5,000 – of ‘7’ and more.

More than 16,000 challenges were submitted after the main Baccalaureate session, a lower figure compared with last year.

The candidates who failed the exams or who didn’t present themselves at the main session will be able to take the exams during the additional session of July 16-23. They must yet file an application to the Baccalaureate center where they sat the exam on July 6-7.
