The Baccalaureate and capacity exams are coming to an end. The chosen Baccalaureate exam was taken on Monday. The last exams for the ninth graders will take place on Tuesday. On May 18, the students will take the last exam – in the Gagauz, Bulgarian or Ukrainian language, the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said at the meeting of the Chisinau City Hall on Monday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Not all the students passed the exam on Monday. Owing to technical difficulties, the teachers could not access the tests online. After two hours of unsuccessful attempts, the students were allowed to go home. Due to the technical glitches, the selected exams were taken in only 43 Baccalaureate centers. The students in the other 28 centers will take the exam on Wednesday, starting at 8.30. Specialists of the Ministry of Education and Youth are trying to establish the causes of the faults. Technical difficulties had been also encountered at the first exam. At the next exams, the situation was under control and the tests became available in 45 minutes at the most, Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said. She also said that no major violations of the regulations or cases of collecting money for holding the exams were identified during the exams. “Anonymous persons called the General Education Division and informed that money is being collected for teachers. No such violations were discovered during investigations,” Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said. Representatives of the Division are daily present in every education institution. Officials of the Ministry of Education and Youth supervise the exams. “We discussed with children and parents, but the information about money collections was not confirmed,” the General Education Division head said.
