The Baccalaureate exam pass rate this year is 79.44%, up 2.45 percentage points compared with 2019. The average grade is also higher. The average of the grades in the national Baccalaureate exams for high school graduates is 7.19, as opposed to 7.04 in 2019. Only one candidate was eliminated from the current session, IPN reports.
The data were presented by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research following the publication of the results of the additional Baccalaureate exams session that involved 3,139 candidates. About 33% of the young people who took part in this session passed the exam. A total of 12,880 persons passed the national Baccalaureate exams this year.
Among high school graduates, the exam pass rate is 93.98%, which is almost the same as in 2019. This way, of the 10,914 high school graduates, 10,258 passed the national Baccalaureate exams.
More than half (2,357) of the 4,601 candidate from colleges and excellence centers passed the exam, with the pass rate among these being 51.22%.
Of the 187 candidates from universities, 118 passed the national Baccalaureate exams, which is 63.1%.
The pass rate among candidates who took the exams externally is 35.38%. Of the 342 candidates, 121 successfully took the national Baccalaureate exams.
Of the 169 candidates who failed the exams the previous sessions, 26 passed the exams this year, which is 15.38%.
