The exact cause of the death is to be established by coroners. An unidentified man in his 60s was found in a state of advanced drunkenness and with brain concussion. A young woman, 21, tried to kill herself by taking dozens of pills. She was admitted to “Sfanta Treime” hospital for detox. Acute viral diseases and mumps continue to strike Chisinau, Silvia Babara says. On Friday, when all dispensaries and family doctors where working, 154 persons, including 117 children called the Emergency Service for help, complaining about acute viral infections. In the same period, 42 persons were diagnosed with mumps. Emergency Service doctors responded to 878 cases, of which 228 in children and registered 51 cases of trauma and 9 vascular accidents.
