A five-month-old boy died after his mother dropped him while playing. The baby was rushed to the hospital, but died about an hour later.
Vice director of the Donduseni District Hospital Vitalie Gorin has told IPN that the boy was brought by an ambulance at about 4am and was admitted to the intensive care section. He suffered serious brain injury and didn’t survive.
Contacted by IPN, deputy chief of the Donduseni Police Inspectorate Valentin Bujac said the mother told the police that she threw the boy up while playing and could not catch him. She called an ambulance later, towards morning, when she saw that the child fell ill.
The woman could be investigated for unintentional murder, but this will be decided after the results of the medical-legal examination become available.
