A baby died last night, January 10, from reasons unknown so far. Doctor-coordinator of the Emergency Service, Eufalia Negreata, told Info-Prim Neo that the 9-month-old boy from a suburb of the Chisinau municipality, died at 4 am. The Emergency Service doctors said the boy’s parents had a bad hangover. According to the parents, the boy was black and blue in the evening, but they thought he was just cold. When they woke up in the morning the child was dead. On Wednesday, January 9, two women, aged 67, died. The first woman, from the Ialoveni town died in the morning on Sprincenoaia Street, an the second in a shop situated on Hancesti Street. This morning, January 10, a woman aged 50 died in a hairdresser’s on Puschin Street. Chronic alcoholism caused the death of a young woman aged 27. A man aged 45 died in his own house that caught fire from a burning cigarette. A woman, 35, apparently homeless, was found frozen on Pietrariei Street. The woman was admitted to Sfanta Treime Hospital. Two persons were hospitalized in the evening of January 9 after having been attacked. A 35-year-old man had been beaten by a taxi driver and was admitted to hospital with head trauma and brain concussion. A 23-year-old woman was hospitalised after her boyfriend stabbed her in the right side of the chest. During the day of January 9 and the night of January 10 the Emergency Service registered 746 calls, responding to 60 cases of trauma, grown-ups, and 10 cases - children, 9 vascular accidents and 3 heart attacks.
