Avicola Nord employees from Falesti ask the present manager of the company to re-employ the sacked employees, and the judiciary – to rule the re-employment of their manager, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We are concerned about the illegal dismissal of general manager Gheorghe Barladeanu and about the critical situation at the company, which leads to its bankruptcy,” said deputy manager Ion Smurgun, at a news conference on July 6.
According to him, “the company under Barladeanu's management” used to be one of the most flourishing, held the title of “The Best Tax-Payer”, and now it is going bust, as its employees may lose their jobs any time.
“We live in a free and democratic state and we demand our constitutional rights to free speech and labor,” says the deputy manager. “Yet, we are threatened to be sacked, some employees are banned to enter the company for over one year,” Smurgun said.
Ana Bordeniuc, a former accountant of the company, says that, although the court ruled her being re-employed, present manager Vladimir Balan refuses to do so, although he inked the re-employment order.
“We don't get salaries since last September, we're not allowed on the territory of the company. The manager fired us for the second time,” the accountant says.
“How shall we feed our children? Shall we go to Italy?” some 40 employees keep asking.
Vladimir Balan offered the re-employed workers to take training courses, but they refused and the manager sacked them for not observing the company's regulation and sabotage. “Those 8 were first sacked for illicit banking operations. I gave them a chance, offering them to pass a professional exam, but they refused and incite the employees, taking me to courts,” said the manager of SA Avicola Nord, who attended the news conference.
“We were offered nothing. These are lies,” replied the employees, as one voice. “If the Parliament and Government do not help us, we'll go to the ECHR,” said employees from SA Avicola Nord from Falesti.
