The lowest average price of USD 21 is charged for a one-room dwelling in the mini-district Airport, and with USD 23 one can buy an apartment in the Lower Botanica or Posta Veche districts. The most expensive one-room dwellings, with the average price of USD 32 thousand, are sold in downtown Chisinau, and with USD 29.5 thousand in the mini-district Albisoara, Rascani and Botanica. The cost of apartments with two rooms varies between USD 27 thousand, in mini-district Airport, and USD 39 thousand in Botanica, Buiucani, Sculeni, Rascani, Albisoara, reaching USD 43 thousand in the New Buiucani. The price of the apartments with three rooms varies between USD 31 thousand and USD 48 thousand, and those with four rooms – between USD 31 thousand and USD 50 thousand. Director of “Metru patrat” real estate agency Elena Bazghin mentions on www.ipoteka.md that at present it is difficult to sell apartments, because of the large number of offers. The instability of the exchange rate, the information publicised by the media about “the dying US dollar” has psychologically influenced the population, so that the prices of apartments are changed into euros. However, Bazghin says that the population is willing to buy apartments. It is just that those who want to buy a dwelling in Chisianu are not pleased with the prices. They usually negotiate 10-20% of the announced prices, and such a situation is not favouring the price stability.
