The average monthly salary in the economy in the second quarter of this year was 6,370 lei, an increase of 13.0% compared with the corresponding period last year, IPN has learned from the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the budgetary sphere, the average monthly pay was 5,569 lei, up 13.1% compared with the second quarter of 2017, while in the economic (real) sector – 6,679 lei, up 12.7% compared with April-June 2017.
The real salary calculated as the ratio of the gross nominal salary to the consumer price index in the second quarter of this year was 109.5%, up 9.5% on the same period last year.
