The Ministry of Health by this yearend intends to launch an automated information system that will ensure the circulation of information about the flow of financial resources, drug stores and data about the patients’ state of health between hospitals.

In connection with the thematic training of specialists of the National Clinical Hospital, the medical institution’s director Anatol Ciubotaru said that complete transparency will be ensured in the purchase of drugs and consumables when the information system is implemented, IPN reports.

Anatol Ciubotaru also said that the network will unite the accounting office, pharmacy, administration, the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Company. The monitoring will be permanent. At practical level, if a necessary drug, for example, is absent in one hospital, officials of the Ministry of Health will swiftly find another hospital where this drug exists through the agency of the information system.

The automated information system will be introduced in the health facilities founded by the Ministry of Health. The project will be implemented at a cost of 9.8 million lei. The money is allocated from the state budget.
