The Government set up a special working group that will receive and distribute the humanitarian aid provided by Romania. The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, through the agency of the local authorities, identified the potential beneficiaries of this aid, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said after a public event, IPN reports.

The Premier stated that the aid includes food products and a reserve of crude oil for the thermoelectric plants of Chisinau. Thus, if the supply of natural gas is halted, this crude oil will be enough for supplying the residents of Chisinau with heat during a month.

Pavel Filip also said that the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family is to work out a clear mechanism for taking the aid to beneficiaries. The lists of persons who need this aid most of all were compiled and the assistance is to be distributed.

During Pavel Filip’s visit to Bucharest at the end of January, Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos announced that Romania will offer humanitarian aid intended for socially deprived people of Moldova.
