The Moldovan authorities do not react to the protests mounted by the extraparliamentary opposition. At the same time, the protests continue because the demands of the protesters are not satisfied, member of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” Alexandru Cozer stated in the program “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.

Alexandru Cozer said protests were staged because the public TV channel didn’t satisfy the opposition’s demand to provide an hour of airtime to it, but this offered instead an hour of airtime to all the parties. “The opposition parties didn’t expect extraordinary reactions on the part of the public TV channel or of the government. These protests are a sign of alarm for our foreign partners,” he stated.

Analyst Corneliu Ciurea reproached the opposition for talking a lot about many problems without providing solutions to these. “I understand the dissatisfaction of the opposition when too many parties are invited to a dialogue. The opposition should not yet tell us which parties exactly should come to these discussions” noted the analyst.

As to the arrest of the driver of a minibus by which audio equipment was transported to a previous protest, journalist Valeriu Saharneanu said only an abject regime can encourage such things. “This is a regime that destroys itself by lie, fraud and bad intention,” he stated.
