Authorities ask people to observe evacuation order, as water grows

The water is growing. In the district of Briceni, 272 houses have been flooded, as 31 were destroyed completely. Only in Drepcauti village, 25 households were deteriorated by the freshet. Criva village is in water. The press officers of the Civil Protection and Emergency Service, Tatiana Corceac, has told Info-Prim Neo a dramatic situation is being reported in the village of Valcinet from Ocnita district, where 26 houses were flooded, 5 being ruined. The water invaded undergrounds , 64 gardens, a portion of railway. The kindergarten and 2 schools from the locality have been evacuated. Two streets from Soroca town are in water. The water spills over the dam in the village of Cosernita, Criuleni. In Vadul lui Vodă (Chisinau municipality) the water has risen by 1.5 m. The stadium of the Football Federation was flooded , as well as the territory of the Disabled Foundation and a number of resorts. A dramatic situation is reported in some localities in Anenii-Noi district. In Delacau village, 24 ha of wheat and 60 ha barley of have been flooded. The Civil Protection Service warns the people to observe the norms of behavior in difficult situations. In case of evacuation the order should be as follows: the children, women and elderly. The people who may have to leave their homes are recommended to take their documents, water and food reserves, to unplug electrical appliances, to close the windows, to take animals in specially established places.
