The police arrested the author of the March 5 bomb hoax at the trolleybus depot No. 1. This turned out to be a man aged 30 from Chisinau. When being questioned by the police, the man admitted his guilt, saying he made the call without thinking about the consequences, IPN reports.
The police of Chisinau took legal action over intentional misinforming about acts of terrorism. The man faces a fine of 27 000 to 42 000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or at most two years behind bars.
The employees of the trolleybus depot No. 1 of Chisinau were evacuated on March 5 after an individual called the police and said that he planted an explosive device at the depot located at 146 Dosoftei St. A bomb squad of the Buiucani Police Inspectorate examined the place, but found no suspect object.
