The caller who informed about bomb placement at the Chisinau Lyceum “Gheorghe Asachi” was identified and arrested. According to the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS), this is a minor boy who earlier studied at this school.
A criminal case was started over bomb hoax. The teen faces a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 lei, community service or up to two years in jail. SIS press officer Sabina Cojusneanu has told IPN that the punishment will be imposed on the boy’s parents given that this is only 15.
The students and teachers of “Gheorghe Asachi” Lyceum were evacuated from the school on March 24 following a bomb threat. Several hours later, the police announced that no suspect device was found inside the lyceum.
