The Austrian Embassy in Chisinau and the municipal water utility are negotiating several projects for personnel training. The embassy's head of the technical cooperation bureau Gerhard Shaumberger said that besides staff training, Austria could implement several environment protection projects, IPN learned from a press release of Apa-Canal Chisinau (ACC).
Constantin Becciev, director of ACC, said that Moldova faced a lack of qualified personnel and in this regard the Austrian embassy's initiative was more than welcome.
Becciev added that a special training center for the utility's employees was created within the Technical University of Moldova. ACC workers attend courses there every three years.
