Aureliu Cincilei returned to the National Bank of Moldova as vice governor. The decision was taken in a move to fulfil all the priorities set in the central bank’s new strategic plan, which necessities the bank’s Executive Board to be fully filled, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the National Bank.

In October 2016, Aureliu Cincilei was named president of the Administration Board of Moldindconbank after unauthorized concerted activities by a group of persons who owned 63.89% of the bank’s shares were identified at this bank.

The post of temporary administrator at Moldindconbank will be held by the bank’s first vice president Victor Cibotaru. The bank’s Board will be further managed by Lithuanian citizen Giedrius Steponkus, former member of the Supervisory Board and vice chairman of the Vilnius Stock Exchange, a member of the Banking Stakeholder Group (European Banking Authority).

The early intervention regime introduced by the central bank on October 20, 2016 was kept. Moldindconbank will continue to work in a normal regime and to provide all the range of services.
