Aurelian Silvestru’s book “Farime de suflet” red by over 10,000

More than 100 children and parents took part in the event held to sum up the results of the nationwide campaign “Moldova’s children read a book” that was dedicated to Aurelian Silvestru’s book “Farime de suflet” (“Pieces of soul”). The event was organized by the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. The library’s director Claudia Balaban said the aim of the campaign was to cultivate love for reading in children. The book “Farame de suflet” by Aurelian Silvestru won the Top Prize at this year’s edition of the International Children’s and Youth Book Fair. “Not those who launch nice ideas are great writers, but those who spread dignity, kindheartedness and verticality by their books. Aurelian Silvestru’s books are namely such books,” stated Claudia Balaban. She also said that according to the reports sent from districts, Aurelian Silvestru’s book was presented in 28 districts of the country. More than 20,000 persons were present at the about 400 events organized within the campaign. The book was red by over 10,000 children. For his part, writer Aurelian Silvestru said that during the campaign he visited many places in Moldova and everywhere was met by talented children who are fond of reading. According to him, Moldova’s future will be brighter with such children. The reading promotion campaign “Moldova’s children read a book” was launched on January 20 and covered all Moldova’s settlements. As many as 500 copies of the book will be distributed to all the national libraries.
