The Court of Auditors will check if the activities and financial transactions of the commercial organizations and specialized entities operating in the natural gas sector are in full compliance with the legal provisions. The conducting of the audit was decided by Parliament. The audit report will be presented until November 30, 2022, IPN reports.
Regardless of the type of ownership and legal-organizational form, the audited entities will be obliged to ensure unrestricted access to their precincts for pubic auditors and direct and free access to the digitized information and databases needed for appropriately performing the audit mission.
The bill authors, a group of PAS MPs, made reference to independent reports and studies according to which these companies are defectively managed and this leads to the unjustified rise in gas rates and to the artificial augmentation of the debt owed to foreign suppliers.
